上海浦东喜来登由由综合体调暗灯光以参与2024年地球一小时环境保护活动。酒店与全球各地数以百万计的人们一起于当地时间3月23日晚8：30关闭灯光一小时，以实际行动彰显环保精神。此项每年一度的环境保护活动是由世界自然基金会（WWF）创办的，已有15年，意图是为了支持应对气候变化的行动。

上海浦东喜来登由由综合体将关闭酒店外部标牌照明，减弱或关闭非必需的内部照明，在餐厅与酒吧等有需要的公共场所使用烛光照明，通过客信的方式告知宾客酒店参加“地球一小时”活动的信息等。上海浦东喜来登由由综合体也与由由农业联手组织儿童创意手作活动，将废弃的生菜叶充分利用，制作成属于孩子们自己的艺术品。熄灯的一小时内，在酒店大堂还进行了一场别开生面的荧光瑜伽。

SHERATON GRAND SHANGHAI PUDONG COMPLEX SUPPORTS WORLDWIDE EARTH HOUR MOVEMENT FOR THE ENVIRONMENT BY GOING DARK FOR ONE HOUR

Sheraton Grand Shanghai Pudong Complex went dark for one hour on March 23^rd to shine a light on climate action in support of Earth Hour 2024. The hotel joined millions around the world in turning off its lights at 8:30 p.m. local time to illuminate a powerful message about environmental awareness and action. The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) created the annual global environmental awareness event 15 years ago to emphasize the threat of climate change.

Sheraton Grand Shanghai Pudong Complex participated by turning off exterior signage lighting; dim or turn off non-essential interior lighting; use candlelight in appropriate public areas such as restaurants and bars; and use guest letters to inform guests about Earth Hour observances. Sheraton Grand Shanghai Pudong Complex also collaborated with Youyou Farming on letting the kids to make use of all the disposed lettuce leaves and handemake them to their own artworks. This is an innovative way of sustainability to support Earth Hour. While the lights were turned off, a fluorescent yoga was conducted in the lobby.

Each year, Marriott International celebrates Earth Hour and are reminded of the importance this event has in bringing awareness to the pressing issues of climate change.
